Can a minor working in a store sell cigarettes or alcohol?
My parents own a local grocery store and i help them out now and then. When i want to take over the cash register so that my father can take a break i have to be calling him in whenever a customer wants to buy either cigarettes or Alcoholic beverages. Im 16, can i sell these safely without worrying about getting a ticket? Because if i sell them it doesn't mean im using them.

No, you cannot sell alcohol and cigarettes legally until you are of the age when you are permitted to buy them yourself. Cigarettes are such a great harm to human health that condoning their handling by people below a certain age is reprehensible. It is probably reprehensible at any age. With alcohol, the case is more subtle, but some experience of the world in general is required to use and thus to dispense these products maturely. Do you think that you should be permitted to offer samples of wine, for instance, at an in-store tasting, even though you don't taste the wine yourself? Where would you draw the line and how would you write the law?
