How do I find the price of cigarettes thru the years ?
I want to compare the prices of cigarettes over the years to todays prices....in order to project into the future , how much they will cost , in say 50 years ? I need the information , to help people to quit !!

I can recall my father buying cigarettes for 55 cents a pack in 1960. I personally can remember them selling for 1.80 a pack in 1985. and now I pay 2.40 a pack.Some cigarettes sell for 4.95 a pack.My grand father bought Bugler loose tobacco for a .05 a bag.That bag made about one carton of cigarettes ,the equivalent to 200 cigarettes.That was in 1960. Marlboro cigarettes are already 7 dollars a pack in France. I went to Morocco in January 2008 and cigarettes are 4.80.
