Why is a prescription needed to purchase cigarettes that do not contain any toxic chemicals, only pure tobacco?
There was a new cigarette that came out a few months ago that does not contain the cancer causing addictive chemicals, even though it was like $60/pack the FDA pulled them off of shelves and said prescriptions are needed. Why is a prescription needed for a healthy alternative and why is it more expensive when it costs cheaper to produce?

Also, there's no such thing as tobacco without cancer causing chemicals. Tobacco contains poisons that it evolved to have to protect it from insects. That's why we can use nicotine as an insecticide. Burning the plant only makes those naturally occurring chemicals more toxic. Even American Spirit is toxic, what it doesn't have are the additives that make it burn faster, so it's more pleasant to smoke. It's not safer though. Check the source please.
