Are Djarum Blacks Clove Cigars worse for you than cigarettes?
I'm new to smoking, and the woman at the tobacco shop I bought from last night told me these are an alternative to smoking. I think she's full of B.S as I looked online and these generally contain more nicotine and tar cause they're blended with cigar tobacco which are supposevly more potent... Anyways, I hear these clove cigars can make your lungs bleed? Seriously?

This rumor is along the same lines as the one that says that smoking menthol's will crystallize your lungs. Neither is technically true, but the woman at the tobacco shop is full of BS as cloves do as much damage as any "full" of cigarette. They have all the same side effects of any other cigarette, and can actually be much harsher on your lungs/breathing. The first time you get any kind of chest cold when smoking these will teach you this. The first time I got sick (with bronchitis) when smoking these it felt like my lungs were on fire every time I coughed.
As you say you are "new to smoking" you should consider stopping now rather than looking for an alternative. I'm sure that everyone says this but honestly nearly all long term smokers will tell you the same thing...I myself wish I had never started oh so many years ago
