How do I get the smell of cigarette smoke out of some old needlework?
A relative left them, crocheted doilies, to me. They are at least 60 years old and are made of 100% cotton crochet thread. They smell VERY strongly of cigarette smoke. I washed them but it didn't help one bit. How do I get the smell out without damaging the doilies?
